2007 Farm Bill Conference Call Held by Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Margo M. McKay

On January 31, 2007, Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Margo M. McKay, along with other USDA officials and members of organizations that represent socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers discussed USDA's 2007 Farm Bill Proposals that directly impact their constituents. Proposed changes to several titles of the farm bill are being recommended to provide additional support to socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers. Conference call participants were very interested in the proposals and had many questions and comments. Assistant Secretary McKay encouraged the participants to learn more about the 2007 Farm Bill Proposals by visiting the USDA website at www.usda.gov/farmbill.
